Do you realise you and your friends lives seem to reflect each other ? A very close friend of mine said that our lives seem to be on the same page as our close friends. And I realised how true that was. Then again, people are influenced by their environment - by the people around them, the close friends surrounding them. Is it too much of a surprise that they evolve to reflect their circumstances ?
For example, in a conversation with another close friend yesterday, we were discussing the situation of cockroaches . which i utterly detest with a passion . and the convo went something like this.
me : ummm . are you scared of roaches? cos if i so much see a roach i tend to do a flik (i.e. scream). if the roach FLIES past me, believe me you don`t want to be in hearing distance of me.
close friend : i`m fine with roaches. i don`t particularly like them, but i`m not scared of them .
me : yea.. cos in my old apt there were roaches hey.. and it wasn`t like the apartment was that old or anything..
close friend : what about spider and mice ?
me : not really scared of spider and mice.. i`m fine with them. i only get freaked out big time by roaches.
[ 5 min pause ]
close friend : so how would you like to find roaches in your bed ?
AND THE EXACT TIME MY CLOSE FRIEND SAID THAT, I WAS ABOUT TO SAY, " and no you shouldn`t put roaches in my bed." that`s either
(a) coincidence
(b) a fact that me and my close friend is thinking on the same wavelength
(c) the fact that i can predict my close friend's childish mindset.
but yes . we are reflective of the people around us .. what they say is true.. what you see in other people around you , and what you dislike of the people around you is reflective of what others see you as... have you ever thought of that ?...
